Thank you for supporting a small, handcrafted apothecary. Every item in our shop is lovingly made in small batches using thoughtfully selected ingredients and traditional methods.
Because our products are handmade, no two batches are exactly alike. Slight variations in color, shape, texture, or appearance are natural and part of the charm of artisan goods. These small differences reflect the beauty of traditional craftsmanship.
Returns & Exchanges
Due to the personal nature of skincare and beauty products, all sales are final once an item has been opened or used. For hygiene and safety reasons we are unable to accept returns on used products.
However, we want you to have a wonderful experience with your order. If there is a problem, we will gladly work with you to resolve it.
Please contact us within 7 days of delivery if:
• The wrong item was sent
• Your order arrived damaged or broken
• There is a quality issue with an unused product
Simply email us with your order number and a photo of the item, and we will happily help make it right.
Shipping Policy
All products from By The Moonlight Apothecary are handcrafted in small batches. Orders typically ship within 3–5 business days, although during busy times processing may take slightly longer while items are prepared with care.
Once your order ships, you will receive tracking information so you can follow its journey to your door.
Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout. We cannot be responsible for packages delayed or lost due to incorrect addresses.
Warm Weather & Melting Policy
Some of our products — such as salves, balms, and candles — are made with natural oils and waxes that may soften or melt in warm temperatures during shipping.
This does not affect the quality or effectiveness of the product, though the appearance may change. If your item arrives softened, simply allow it to cool at room temperature or place it in the refrigerator briefly to re-solidify.
If an item arrives damaged or leaking, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos so we can assist you.
Product Care Instructions
Because our products are made with natural ingredients, a little care will help them last longer.
Handmade Soap: Keep soap dry between uses by placing it on a well-draining soap dish. Allowing the bar to dry fully will help extend its life.
Salves & Balms: Store in a cool, dry place and keep containers closed when not in use.
Candles: Trim the wick to about ¼ inch before each burn and allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface during the first burn to help prevent tunneling.

At By The Moonlight Apothecary, each botanical blend is thoughtfully composed with both beauty and balance in mind. Essential oils are used with care and intention, guided by established safety standards (including IFRA standards) and traditional apothecary practices.
Formulations created for personal care and those crafted for our doggie companions are each uniquely considered, with ingredient choices and skin-safe usage levels tailored to their specific needs.
Allergy & Ingredient Awareness
Our products are made with natural oils, butters, botanicals, and essential oils. If you have known allergies or sensitivities, please review the ingredient list carefully before purchasing.
We recommend performing a small patch test before full use of any new skincare product.

Natural Color & Scent Variation
Our products are crafted in small batches using natural ingredients such as plant oils, botanicals, clays, and essential oils. Because of this, color, scent, and appearance may vary slightly from batch to batch.
Natural ingredients can also change subtly over time due to light, temperature, and the natural aging of plant materials. These variations are normal and do not affect the quality or effectiveness of the product.
